After five trips out, I think I am beginning to know when their is something under the coil that I should dig. Previously operated a CZ7A-Pro and found silver at a school yard in the last few weeks. It seems as if I am not finding/hearing/ESPing or whatever needs to be done to find something, even clad, deeper than 3 inches. Mostly I hunt at factory presets, as suggested, and sometimes switch between auto tune and manual. Variablility is set to 10 so I should hear some of the high tones. Any thoughts?
One question I cannot find the answer to is when trying to choose "fast" or "deep" are those choices selected when blackened in or are they selected when there is not black around them? I can make a logical argument for both ways but would like to know for sure.
Today my son, using the CZ7A, found a tiny sterling charm from a necklace or something. Other than clad that's it for both of us today. I can't even comprehend other posts where skilled operators are 'cherry picking' and just going for the silver. Maybe someday!!

It could be that your going too fast or maybe your hunting a Junky Area with too large of a Coil. Smaller Coils work a bit better to get between the Trash, but I am sure you already knew that. Take some Test Coins and do some Air Testing if you haven't already done this. Notice as you swing the Coin further and further away from the Coil, the Sound of the Signal. Listen for those Deeper Signals. Also, if the Fast is in Black, that is On. If it isn't Blackened, then it's Off. What kind of Coin Depths are you getting with the Fisher? Have you done some Side by Side comparisons on Deep Coins to see if the SE is getting them? If not, try that also. It could be that you just haven't gone over any Deep Coins. Hope you get it figured out. Good Luck and HH.
