New to the minelab group

Just got my first minelab its the explores xs.Very interested to see how it compares to my compass gold scanner pro. What I have already noticed is that it is heaver then the g.s.p Need spring to hurry and get here in Michigan as I'm getting detector fever.

First of all I would like to thank you for your service to our great country, and for letting me enjoy the liberty's of every day life. If those finds don't get a person pumped up for the up coming season better find a new hobby. Thanks for the warm welcome.

Hey digger..welcome to the minelab group..I started with an xs a couple years ago..i can just about guarantee you will be happy with it..except for the weight...this forum gets pretty exciting in the summer when all of us snow bunnies get to get out..just take your time learning the sounds..and you will be surprised at how well the xs does. Goodluck
