Hi everyone. Were new here on the MXT forum and we just bought an MXT about 3 and a half weeks ago. We really love the thing and wanted to show you people what we got so far. The photo of the junk on the bag is about 2/3 of the junk we found that includes a couple of horseshoes and a 1936 license plate and countless shirt pockets full of old tin covers for the old milk bottles and other stuff that went straight to the trash can from our pockets. An Indian head penny from 1900 and a buffalo nickel from 1926 plus a 1908 and a couple of 1920s pennies are also in another little box not show in the pics. We also added a DX-1 pinpointer to the detector and really love it now that were used to it. Most of the stuff was found with the 4x6DD shooter coil that we got along with the detector when we bought it from Baringers at the GPAA gold show and have been doing pretty good with the eclipse 6x10DD that we just got from that Santa pack whites was offering. The 10DD was back ordered so they sent me the 6x10 after talking to me. The 6x10 sells for 50 bucks less than the 10DD but I like the 6x10 and it's the same size and shape as the one on our old goldmaster2 that I'm used to. By the way.. All this stuff was found in the side yard of our house and in our driveway.

Welcome to the forum. Make yourself right at home. We've got a great group of people here and more coming every day. It's great to see your finds and I take it your wife hunts also? That's so cool you have a hunting partner.
Larry & I hunt together also along with the General.
[attachment 146153 boxer1.gif] Where are you from? Illinois here if you didn't guess by now. Hope to see more finds soon from you guys. We've been very lucky in the weather department. It's been in the mid to upper 40's this week, but still too windy to hunt. But I'm not complaining..........we could be under a foot of snow. Wait 10 minutes and the weather could change. HH to you and to all, Nancy

Hi Nancy & Larry, the names are Jeff & Barb and were from South Jersey.

haha arizonaames.. pigs, aint we? Actually we just bought the place back in 1999 but it's been here since 1878 so there's a lot of buried stuff around I guess.

Welcome. IMHO you have the two most useful coils already although the 5.3 is nearly as good in trash as the 4X6 and hits a bit deeper, with fairly good coverage. For my use I've found the larger coils handicap me in trashy parks, fair grounds etc. and seldom use them unless I need more ground coverage in relatively clean areas. The more you use the MXT, the more you'll like it. Very capable detector.
