Hey guys, i've just joined the forum.Have been a relic hunter for many years but went about 10 years without hitting a lick.About 2 years ago met a fellow who lives about a mile from a famous battle site. He owns about 40 acres. Told him I would love to get in the woods and check it out, he said help yourself. So I did.I got out the old 1266, brushed off the dust, put on my boots and hit the road. A few feet from my truck got 3 solid hits in a row and dug up 3 .69 cal 3 ringers. That was it for me, the fever was back. Dug a lot of good stuff since then. I've enjoyed reading the posts here from like minded folks and am looking forward to being a part of it.
Theres nothing like digging up history, theres a story behind every relic.
Thanks,
