Hello everyone on the Explorer form. I read the site for a month or so before I decided on buying an Explorer SE. It's been a learning curve from the machines 16-35yrs ago. The thing is I've always had white's and changing was a hard thing to do. I can say digging dimes out 10+ inches down is a real bonus. Playing on the beaches, finding some cool stuff, learning lots of stuff from this form. Thanks to all that post here for helping make my mind up without knowing it.

It sure is amazing what today's Detectors can do for Depth and the Discrimination Capabilities compared to the Old Detectors 15-20 yrs. ago. You were very wise in purchasing an SE and you also now know why there is so many great finds posted here on the Minelab Explorer Forum. The Explorers are Deep Seekin'! Just wait until the year gets fully open to everyone and then you will really see some finds being posted. Hope to see some finds that you have made sometime here as well. Welcome aboard and Good Luck and HH with your new SE.:detecting:

Welcome to the forum, Jim.

I can imagine that learnin curve.

I was diggin clad at 5-8" tonight w/ a WOT. I'm new to the SE too and i's a continual learning experience. (Did get a silver Rose though.)

I got my first hunt yesterday with my new SE. Boy are those sounds overwhelming. It's going to take some time to learn this machine, but I can tell it will be well worth it!!!
