Hello everyone is there a good book i can read this winter on using the Minelab Excal. II i just brought one and iam learning it at home of course its still to cold out there and for the water which Coil is best the 8" or 10" Thanks Jim East end of Long Island

i have read the "Advanced Field Methods for the Minelab Excalibur: Theory &Practice" it pretty much based on the excal2

Lots of good books out there, but there is such a wealth of info on this and the beach forum that cover almost anything that will help you to get going in the right direction. If you have a question post it or search the archives and you'll find the answer.
Thanks and good luck,
Cal

I Believe if your Beach is highly Mineralized.................Then the 8'' coil would work better over the 10'' coil because you can run the sensitivity higher, that's what I got from pass post............ maybe others can chim in on which coil is better suited.................... I to would like to know

Excal video's........I have both the 800 and the 1000, I like the 8 better for in the water and the 10 for the low tide to high tide lane. You may want to check with BarryNY on the forum here he hunts that same area , I think. He has the 10, and does very well. Good Luck...Joe
