New to the Equinox 600

Decided to come over to the other side. I have used many detectors over the years and this will be my first Minelab. I mostly hunt Civil War stuff so any tips, settings will be appreciated. I'll be checking out the Equinox forum too. Good luck hunting. Robert

Welcome Robert!! Turn it on, pick a field mode, noise cancel, slide your sensitivity to a proper level and enjoy.

Thanks buddy...the dealer I got it from, a local guy who's also an old school relic hunter, suggested park 2. So that's what I'm starting with and will tweak the settings as I go. Thanks to all who have responded so far. Robert
 
Try field 2 if the area isnt too trashy. Thats what I leave on 75% of the time. But park 2 is great setting as well. I suggest pick one setting and try to stick with it(atleast for that day hunting), it will help you learn how the machine works quicker and the settings that work for you.
