new to the AT Pro......so far so good!

I normally swing one of my old Fisher units(1266,CZ5,C$) but decided to buy the AT Pro because I could not afford the CZ21 for water hunting. I am glad I did, I only have about 12 hours on it so far but I can tell that it will be one of my favorites! The tones in pro mode are pleasant to my ear, light weight, deep enough in my soil and all around a great detector. I like this detector because it offers the best of all worlds in my opinion and here is what I mean; I use the 1266 in the woods to hunt for relics from the campain of Andrew Jackson to defeat the creeks here in Alabama ( I found 12 musket balls today and a cuff button with the At Pro),, I use the Coinstrike to hunt for coins only (found a 1841 Half dime 2 days ago with the AT Pro) and the cz5 well it is my depth detector and even the ATP( and even the minelabs) can not touch my properly calibrated cz.5 but over all this machine really works well in all aspects of detecting, but the best feature is the blunt end of the coil. I went out the last few days and found a few good things at depth (6-8") in the flat ground,3 musket balls and a cuff button, but when I consentrated my efforts to large tree bases the AT Pro shined like no other, the extended range of detection beyond the end of the coil provided an 1841 half dime at 2" and 9 musket balls....wow! I will Be posting more in this forum in the future and will let you know how my AT Pro adventure goes.

i got the concentric and dd from Bart with my unit and haven't taken concentric off since i got it to try dd
tip it at any angle and the puppy talks

to date: and this aint no BS
if at says leave it alone it's junk
if it says its silver it is
same for coins - the boing works
anything else is optional to dig
there are some old pop tops and bottle caps that it doesnt figure out
but few and far between
can slaw is an easy ID
really good toy
it may pay for itself soon
now i have to decide if i want to buy more coils or a minelab
such is life
decisions decisions
at 60 you have to make them fast or you lose out!
