Hello

I am new to this forum. A friend told me about a BH site and gave me the link.

I have a BH LoneStar. Only had it for about 4-5 mos.....used it 3 times at the beach while on vacation and have tried a few tot lots and my friends land, with 2 old homesteads.

Well as I guess ya'll know....I didn't find any big treasures LOL

just coins at the beach and some change at the tot lot and of course tons of pull tabs, beer cans and scrap crap. ugh

I am learning the beeps. It kinda is driving me crazy having to learn the language of this machine. I just bought a Garrett ProPointer and it is the best thing I could ever have bough. What a great accessory to have to pinpoint without having to dig so much.

So just saying HI and looking forward to talking about BH and learning more about this LoneStar. Karen :)

Karen welcome to the forum and enjoy the bounty hunter, you will love the pro pointer as well...Hang in there, learn what your detector is telling you and have a blast finding coins and such...Markmac

Welcome to the forum.
Good advice that you can access here.
I started years ago with Discovery 3300 still have it and will loan it to a newbie that I will invite along.

Thanks for the welcome everyone.

Yea I am trying so hard to just keep learning my beeps lol

a little crazy finding so much trash, but I know I have to weed thru the junk to earn the great stuff.

Wellcome,
Just keep trying and reading these great tips.

I was wondering if you were going to branch out and find this forum Karen. Good for you. Good people over here and also more information on your Lonestar to read about. Have fun.

capt.

Hey Capt. good to chat with ya! :)

thanks for the welcome ya'll

yea I am searching and finding all info I can about detecting. truly a joy fo me. I like this hobby (well, addiction!) lol

Karen, welcome to the site. I started out with a LoneStar about a year ago. I now have a Fisher F5, love it. The LoneStar is a good machine, but it does have a learning curve. Learning the beeps can sometimes be challenge. I like to hunt in Auto Notch. If the beeps bounce around from high silver to iron & foil it usually turns out to be trash. If it consistenly beeps on one item then it usually is correct.
Happy Hunting & Good Luck.

Howdy FarmerChick,
Welcome aboard.
Ive seen you around on another forum, where I drop in and read posts.
I dont usually post on that forum, idk why?
But this forum is my favorite, I personally think its the best out of the 4 forums I hang around.
Of course, I think its the people, but I like the ease of navigating.
just scroll to the top of the page, click the drop box , and check out another forum.
Check out some of the other forums here at findmall, good stuff.
I personally havent used my B.H.Pioneer 505 that much, but I do believe its a good machine.
(I'm still tryin to learn my MXT)
