New to MXT

Been a Tesoro/Fisher/Minelab person for many years. Recently was given a MXT. Took it out for a spin and noticed something different. The 'target' volume seemed to be weak vs the threshold volume. Didnt make any difference if I was in relic or coin mode. Bigger, closer, was louder but still relatively weak compared to my other machines. Is this normal or is there an adjustment somewhere. I think I tried without headphones and still sounded weak.

Normal ???? or could someting be wrong.

Depending on target size and depth, the response is louder when shallow, softer when deeper.

Are you adjusting the thresh hold a bit too high? If it is too high, the target volume may not sound much louder than the thresh hold. If you can just barely hear the thresh hold, the target volume will be considerably louder than the barely audible hum of the thresh hold.
