Hi all

I am just starting out in this incredible hobby and I am trying to get my first detector, I would love some advice. I live in Boca Raton, FLorida and I plan on going on the sand and the surf, what would a good unit be for my first one and also any good places to learn more about how to do this the right way? I learned alot from reading your postings here and plan on collecting the trash and filling the holes. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Check out our June newsletter, hot off the presses, for an idea of the kind of hunts and group activities we enjoy together and to get some helpful hints to improve your detecting.

Our meetings are the second Thursday of every month at 7:30 p.m. in West Palm Beach at the Garden Club, right near the South Florida Science Museum. Come and say "Stacey sent me!" and make sure I see you so I can introduce you to those who can most help you out. There are a lot of great, helpful members in our club who are always happy to share tips and techniques and talk about their favorite machines.

I hope we'll see you there!

Happy Hunting! (HH!)

I like the Minelab Excalibur. I use it with an excellent degree of success. IMHO
