Welcome aboard. There are lots of parks in your state. When I was stationed in Tacoma 10 years ago, you could go in any direction and find some good spots.

Hi Earth Turner,

Hope one of these clubs is near you. A detecting club is a great place to get local information. Might find a hunting partner too.

[size=large]things have changed. from what i understand for instance, in the king co. area you must purchase a permit. same for spkane area. alot of bureacraps don't allow hunting in city parks at all around some of the greater seattle area. they even regulate geo-cashe hunting. ya really have to read up on the regs in your area of hunting or you can be fined and you gear stolen by the police. i mean confiscated. just be careful out there.

I don't see why it would be any different in your neck of the woods. Down here in the Vancouver area I seem to have PLENTY of luck finding treasure. Do some research, find the old spots frequented spots and have at her. Of course you may want to heed the advice previously given to you about laws and such.
