Hello everyone. Am new to metal detecting. Have a garrett master hunter and treasure hound. Also, out in right field(short right field,a pro max II) inwhich I think I found something of possible value in Northern NJ. Is there anyone in Northern NJ or eastern Pa. with a EXP4000 unit or similar to look into the ground a little better? Talked to two rangers and they just said talk to the one in charge. Looking for a little more proof of what may or may not be there without going on a witch hunt. Cannot afford a more expensive unit like the EXP400. Maybe someday soon. Also looking into some diamond hunting. Moving to Mn. soon. Thank you for any time or help.

Welcome, Marc D. Hope you enjoy the Garrett forum.

I'm not familiar with the Master Hunter, but I'm sure there are some Garrett Gurus here who are and can help answer your questions.

Is there a reason you can't go ahead and dig anyway, as long as you do it carefully to not ruin the soil?
