Just wanted to say hi! Just joined today and looking forward to reading and learning. I am in the process of purchasing the AT Pro. I have owned a Tesoro for 20 years. Retiring the old girl for something new.

Thanks guys for the warm welcome. Still waited on the At Pro to arrive. I have watched a few you tube vids and people who are old timers to this model say its best to start slow, on the coin mode for awhile until you get better acquainted with all the different tones. Since I have never used this model, what would you recommend? Very open to all advice.

Thanks,
Craig

While I'm fairly new to the AT Pro, I think it's best to stay in the Pro Mode since you'll be hearing all sorts of nuances while you dig up almost everything. This will train your ears to what is under the coil. Also, alternate between the Pro Coin and Open modes, or Relic and Open modes so you can see what is being filtered out. If you have a specific aim, coins, relics, whatever, there will be more expert commentary coming from others.

Main thing is to swing, listen and dig and note what is happening in each area your searching. John
