I started reading this forum 2 and half years ago when I learned the company I worked for decided to retire me. I wanted to get a good detector and after seeing what you guys were finding I had to have an ETRAC. Took me a little time to learn how to operate the ETRAC but once I did I found more in one year with it than I did in eight years with the XLT. 2010 I found 56 silvers, not great compared to some of you guys but it was good to me. Last year will be hard for me to top as I found 4 types of half dollars 1807, 1947 Walker 1963 Franklin and a 1964 Kennedy and also an 1890 Morgan Dollar. I certainly enjoy looking at what you guys find and as soon as I can get my daughter to show me how I will try to post some pictures. Happy Hunting

Congrats on all your great finds. We look forward to the pix.
Welcome aboard!

Like you, my silver finds really took off for me when I got my first Explorer (used XS). Had a buddy that was using a DFX at the same time I got my XS. It didn't take long for him to buy the new Explorer 2 when it hit the market. I also went up the line, bought the Explorer 2, then SE, and now the E-Trac.

Loved my SE but the E-Trac can sniff out those iffy ones a lot better.

Congrats on all yours finds so far. Hope you can start posting some pictures soon.

Welcome to a great forum! Still have my XLT and my bigfoot coil :detecting:.
