<img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)"> Hi everyone, just thought I would introduce myself. I have a Garrett 550, and I love it. I found my first silver ring with it, at the edge of the surf (will post pic later). I have been hunting with my Garrett 550 since July 2004. I have found lots of clad in many locations, but I prefer to hunt the beaches.

My name is Michele Maher. What part of the Gulf do you hunt? I live in Galveston and hunt the Galveston beaches. Way to go on your silver ring. If you live near Galveston I would like to invite you to our Galveston Island treasure club meeting sometime. I am the president of the club and we would love to have anyone join us that is from this area or just down to detect the beaches. I am always looking for someone to go detecting with.

Thanks, I have only found the one silver ring so far, but have found lots of clad and trash. I have found some other jewelry as well, hope to post a pic of all of it as soon as I can. Can't wait to go hunting again.
 
Welcome to a great Garrett forum. I`m Bob and i live in Colorado. I have 3 Garrett machines. The Master Hunter CX ,GTA 1000 and i just got the 2500. Have heard that 550 is a great Green Hunter so you should find many fine items. Welcome again and happy diggin.
