[attachment 56556 F752.jpg]:clapping:I have been reading this Forum for the last several months and have found it to be informative, respectful and very helpful with the knowledge of use of the F75.I received my machine about 3 weeks ago and having owned many detectors,I find this F75 to be,so to speak"my weapon of choice".I am basicly a relic hunter and just wanted to post some of my recent finds with this machine. My settings I use to relic hunt in my area are JE mode,sens.70,tones2F,disc at 6......
Thanks for making this site available to share knowledge.HH,CHARLIE

Very nice to see what you have dug up and you are right the F75 is a killer machine and the best machine to come out in years. The other compaines are going to have to scramble to try and top this machine!

I'm impressed by your preparation of finds for display and would love to hear exactly how you do it. I'm guessing you buff them up a bit with polishing compound and coat with something to darken?

I've yet to display any of the hundrds of items I've found and kept, and will soon want to work on that project. Any tips would be most welcome, and from what I see, your items are exactly how I want mine to look!

I have no interest in preserving commercial value, so for me there are no warnings required about "ruining" my finds. I just want to show them and make them look good.

Thank you!

I really do not have to do much cleanning. The soil is mostly sand so I use a tooth brush and WD40. These buttons came from the top of a ridge and the ground was white peppersand hope this helps. Some say to use aluminum jelly. Hope this helps.

which works great on 1 piece buttons especially. 2 piece buttons a lemon juice "soak" is not a good idea as it can leech inside and still be acting after removal....try wiping gently.
A real button expert/collector and author of a button book told me to use lemon juice. I will always listen to advice of the real experts...
