Ive been MDing abou 3 years now. Started out with a Garrett Master Hunter I bought at flea market for 50 bucks. Then switched to a Discovery 3300 So Ive been digging clad for a while. Three weeks ago I went top of the line and bought a GTI 2500. Day one I was skeptical. Day 2 I felt a little more at ease. Now Im very happy. In Three years time Ive dug 3 siilver coins. 2 roosevelts and a Walking Liberty Half. Plus 6 wheat cents. In The past 2 weeks Ive dug 4 mercurys, 1 Roosevelt, 1 Franklin half and 6 wheats. Also I got a 1930s Chevrolet pinback badge. Also this week something weird I posted in the Whatzit forum. This is one great hobby Thanks to people like Charles Garrett. The six Silver coins Ive found W/ the GTI were in lots I had previously hunted and when I go I like to stay a while. Thats All for now but I will be itn touch,.

Welcome and great finds!!!!!

Welcome to the forum.Don' t forget to :cam: post your finds.

I should be breaking the 100,000 coin mark this year. Garretts are simply the BEST coin and jewelry hunting machines available. No other manufacturere has detectors that will size your targets allowing one to leave a lot of junk in the ground and concentrate on good targets.

Below is a short clip of of what some of my Garrett machines found last year......

Hi! I am Larry and somewhat new to forum but a 40 year detector user with about 151,000 coins and more than 450 gold and silver jewelry pieces. I commend you on your finds and the nice "Cadillac" Garrett detector. I still own a Garrett Master Hunter 7 ADS and continue to find lots of silver coins with it particuliarly using the 4" coil in very trashy areas. Here's to "diggin it"! Larry (bjsone)

John,

Thanks for the great visual presentation of your Garrett finds. Very impressive! I go back to 1971 in using a Garrett Hombre with no discrimination and 2 dual coils on that BFO machine. I gave it to a friend and it still works. I am both a Garrett and Fisher lover and have found over 151,000 coins and more than 450 gold and silver jewelry pieces and some unusual relics including a confederate soldier's grave marker found in Tarpon Springs, FL. Here's to "diggin it"! Larry (bjsone)
