Hello everyone. I just wanted to stop by and say hello and what a great site this is. I have been away from metal detecting for a long time. My wife suggested that we get a detector and get back out there. After much research, I ordered a Compadre and Silver U Max from Richard at Backwoods Detector Sales. What a great guy and amazing service! They were delivered today. We can't wait to get out in the field with them.

Thanks to everyone that shares their experience and knowledge here. It has been very helpful in making decisions about which brand and models to consider. A big thanks to '53Silver. Your videos are great.

Anyway, hopefully it won't be long before these detectors are 'talking' to me and I can post some worthwhile finds. At the very least, we are looking forward to getting out and enjoying this wonderful hobby.

H.H.

Good job.............. Looking forward to hearing about your recoveries..

Welcome crimson1. This forum is amazing and you made a wise choice to start with Tesoro detectors in getting back into the hobby. With Tesoros swing them low and slow and learn their language and the two machines you have chosen will bring many hours of enjoyment and fun. This forum is loaded with tons of great advice and pointers. Make sure you keep us posted on what you find. Good luck and welcome.

Welcome to the forum! You chose two very good detectors! Congrats and I wish you a ton of luck in your hunts, Beale.

Welcome to the Tesoro Forum Crimson1. Both of the detectors you selected are excellent and will bring you much success. Looking forward to your finds, and posts!

Welcome aboard.

You're made a wise choice in detectors. They'll both serve you well.

Thanks Tabman. I really enjoy your posts and they helped me make my decision. I am planning on getting out in the morning to a 100+ year old home. It has been hunted before but I am hopeful that I will find something interesting.

I got a friend that hunts with me and if anything is in ground he usually finds it,,,The Silver U Max kicks butt,,,Good luck with your hunting,,,You are on the right track,,,
