I have detected for years but not with fbs machine. I primarily coin hunt. Any advise on settings, etc. would be appreciated.

Sensitivity ---(Manual as high as you can) Manual is key to deep silver. I started off running Auto +3 but I could only hit a silver dime at 7", in manual sensitivity set at 30 I was air testing the same dime at 11". In my area so far I am able to hunt manual sensitivity at 30 and I am not having any problems.

Threshold level-- (20) barely audible, just put you headphones on and start adjusting up until you can barely hear, no magic number here. You may want to adjust Threshold pitch before you do the level.

Volume limit------(30)
Volume Gain -----(30)
Response------(Normal)
Tone ID----------(Multi)
Sounds -------(conductive)
Variability --------(30)
Limit---------------(30)
Threshold pitch -(15) Find the pitch you like and don’t change this one it makes everything sound different
Deep -------------(on) On or off doesn't seem to make a lot difference but for now I am running on.
Fast ---------------(off) if the trash is real bad run this on
Trash ------------(High)
Ground -------(difficult)
Lots of people like Andy S pattern
Slow and low sweep speed and lesson for signals that will repeat.
High tone one direction, low tone at 90 = iron Just something to help when hunting.

Hope this helps get you started.

The settings above look great. I first started using my etrac in high manual sensitivity but had problems with false iron signals and dug too many nails so then I switched to auto+3 while learning the tones and it falsed way less. Now that I know the tones I'm back to manual sensitivity. Also when first starting it helped me to use a higher disc pattern like bills trashy park pattern, for coin hunting. Then back down on the disc after you put some time in. And sizing option for pinpoint mode is good.
