New to Etrac,,, Help!

I had a friend who has owned a Etrac for several years now and has become frustrated with it. He gave it to me to play with. I have been hunting with a F-75 for years and I am leary about switching machines even though the etrac should be better?? I am looking for advise on set ups. I like to Relic hunt #1 but we live in a rural area and have access to many old home sites and also hunt these that are some what trashy. Can someone share with me where to start??

Thanks in advance

If your into relic hunting (dig all metal ) then do not discriminate ( run a more open screen) otherwise you will block out signal. Go in Search on this forum for your answers. Happy Hunting !

The swing speed of the Etrac is a lot slower than the First Texas machines I have used. A lot. A whole lot.

Go slow with the Etrac. I mean slow. Seriously, there should be a sticker that says SLOW DOWN, YOU IDIOT! on top of every coil made for the Etrac.

I have both the F75SE and an Etrac... They are both completely different machines... Use your F75 for relics... They are both awesome in their own ways...

In areas loaded with nails I would open up the screen all the way and switch to 2 or 4 tone ferrous.

The E-Trac running in 2TF (Two Tone Ferrous) with a small coil is a great way to go in heavy junk metal.
Can you borrow a small coil ?
