New To E-trac Forum, Just Like To Say Hello.

Well-known member
I have been looking at this forum for a few weeks and it seems everyone has been making some great finds with the Etrac and I thought it would be nice to join in from time to time. I have been detecting off and on for over 20 years, I started at 15 and was hooked from day 1. There has been a few years that I did not hunt at all because life was just too busy. This July I decided to get back into the hobby, and in August I upgraded to an Etrac. I have made some decent finds with my new machine and every time I go out I learn something new about it. Posting comments and my finds are something new to me. I joined another forum in July and it has been fun to participate. I have really enjoyed the wealth of info I have gotten from this site and I would like to say thanks. I look forward to seeing more great finds from everyone and posting a few myself.
Here is some finds I made on my last couple of hunts. The Mercury Dime was hit with a lawn mower and is bent a little. The flat buttons came from a very old farmhouse that has given me some great first and it still gives up a few old finds. Sorry for such a long first post. Thanks for looking and Happy Hunting, Dave

Dave. Glad to have you here. Congratulations on a new machine that appears to be making finds for you! Thanks for the pictures.

Nice Merc Dave. The scratches look new ? did they have lawn mowers back then ? LOL If it wasn't for such good pictures we wouldn t be able to see the scratches! Seriously welcome.

Welcome to one of the friendliest forums on the net. You won't be disappointed with your ETrac. I have had mine almost 4 years and still love it.

If the tone is repeatable and is nice dig it! The ETrac usually doesn't lie unless you trie to force it (unfortunately I sometimes do that!).

I have scratched a few coins in my time, and I it sure looked like I got this one, but it was still in the middle of my plug when we found it, Whatever got it smashed it hard enough to put a bend in it, My son took a picture of it right after we removed it, My kiddos like to take pictures of the fresh digs... and worms and other bugs, birds and animals... this keeps them busy when the finds are slow. :)

Thanks Eva, Chadwick, E-TRAC-OHIO, NebTrac, Kim, Grizzly13, Hardy, & badjim for the warm welcome. :)

welcome to the site. just think if there was no internet and we used our etracs alone. i probably would have never figured this thing out! Personally I do get a lot more enjoyment out of metal detecting, in general, by sharing pics and thoughts with like-minded (and like-equipped) people here. i love to see what other people are finding. gives me hope and motivation.

Thanks moonshine. The net is great for info and research. I have learned a lot of short cuts for the Etrac by all the hard work of others. To be able to watch so many videos on the Etrac from some very experienced folks, helped me know what to expect from this awesome machine. All the videos and pictures of great finds gets me fired up to go out everyday, I just wished I had the time to go that often. HH
