Just got the Quick draw II and as you can see did alot of digging found 1.97 3 quarters a bunch of dimes only 1 silver and a whole lot of pennies only 1 1930 wheat all this from the front yard. I would like to link up with some people from the Dayton area to hunt with. I love the QD II I set it for coins and only dug about 5% trash I found 20 pennies in one hole cant figger that one out I know my house was built in 1940 and hoped to find more wheat's or silver but there's alway tomorrow even in the rain Ive got the disease bad and the only cure is digging.

hi, aintright. those are some big blisters there. what are you using to dig with? nothing should do that to you, unless you are digging hard ground, like concrete. i would definetly wrap them up and put gloves on; the blisters can become infected by naturally occuring ground bacteria. seen it happen a few times. that being said, welcome! it's a great forum here with all kinds of good people on it. take care, and don't forget to post your finds. hh,

Gardening gloves come in many varieties, and I also like the hunting gloves made by Timberland...they are form fitting, but still quite tough and have rubber finger tips...
As said, no tol should leave blisters like that...even without gloves, unless your digging in very hard ground...If so, switch to a small garden spade that you can step on...

It hurts me just looking at those blisters. Be sure to take good care of them. You sure don't need an infection. The "goodies" will still be there when they heal up. Be sure you stay well enough to continue enjoying the hobby.

Thank you I have taken care of the blisters and am experimenting with different gloves by the way this is not a hobby for me its a quest and it seems to have consumed me
