around where i am that is in to metal detecting I am in Virginia Beach Va ( rosemont forest area ).. Anyway if there is anyone looking for someone to hook up with and teach a noob how to do this. contact me.

I know there are others in your area...I will try to see if there is a local club in your area....
Welcome to the Passion (It is NOT a hobby...It is too addictive)....
when your first starting, keep your SENSitivity at noon, and your DISC/NOTCH knob all the way counter clockwise (no higher than 9 o'clock)....This should help you start finding the goods...Visit local tot lots, and the BEACH...lots of goodies on the beach....

Happy Hunting,

Welcome aboard. Here is a link to a club in Virginia. Don't know if it is near you, but it is a start, and they probably know clubs near you. HH
