I just got an ATX. I'll be using it mostly for saltwater beach hunting. As far as I know I do a freq scan, don't GB "for more depth" disc at 1, sens at 13. I'm going for gold so I'm digging all hi-lo signals. Any tips are appreciated thanks

Just get out and start playing with it. It has a language of it's own when going over nails, bobby pins, pop cans, tiny micro-targets and iron ID in the top 4-5 inches for coin sized targets. Looking for gold rings? Dig only high-low sounding targets. Looking for old silver or copper? Dig on'y low-high sounding targets. You now have the privilege of learning this great PI detector. Good luck:thumbup: Looking forward to seeing some of your finds.

Medium to larger wedding bands will ring out Low-High.

I keep a calibration string with a small ladies gold ring (about 1.9g) and a medium man's gold band (7.4g). Ladies gives a high-low...man's a low-high. Both are 14K
