New to Analog and Whites.

I just got a 6000di pro sl today that is in pristine condition and seems to work well but i just tested a few coins on top of the ground. I am really excited about it. IMy all time favorite detector was a Fisher CZ70 pro. I hope this Whites analog does just as good. Any helpful hints from th Whites people out there?

read the owners manual.. learn how to properly ground balance... if you dont have the owners manual you can download it off of the whites web site... if its like my 5900 di the controls have P on each dial ... i believe the P stands for preset.. start with dials on preset until you learn the machine then you can make minor adjustments from there... .

One thing that will be different from your Fisher CZ-70 will be sweep speed! The 6000 likes just a little faster sweep, now you don't have to mow grass but you can pick up the pace a little.

Your unit has a larger control box and uses different batteries but I believe it is functionally the same as the 6000 PRO XL & renamed XL Pro. I think the tuning advice for these later models can be applied directly to your 6000/DI PRO SL. A forum member named Monte is a true expert with this series of detectors. A forum search for Monte
