New To Ace 250, Any Tips?

Do a Search for Ace 250 and everything you would want to know should come up. Congrats on getting the hottest little rig out there!! Happy Hunting!!

Ain' that weird? I tried it too and got nothing. I even tred 250 and got nothing. As much talk and there has been on here about the yeller feller, you would think it would give you a bunch.
Well, I'll do what I can for you. First thing I noticed when I got mine was that it was behaving erratically. Backed the Sens. down to 4 bars and it smoothed right out. Pinpointing is a little tricky to get used to, but you will get it pretty quickly. Here's the link to Garretts site that gives a pretty good explanation.

Other than that, it's a pretty simple machine to use. Just find yourself a good spot and start swinging and the Yeller Feller will find it if it's there.
If you have specific questions after you get out with it, post away and the fine folks on here will be all over it!!

Thanks BigCatDaddy. I thought it was strange that nothing came up on the search too. Appreciate the tips, and will pop back in with any follow up questions once I get a chance to give it a whirl.

I'm new to this forum but I found that reading old posts are very interesting and have opened my eyes as to new places to try as well as hints and tips on getting the most out of your 250.No need to search further you found the sweet spot !

Cheers !

I ran a search for "yeller feller" (without the quotes) for the past year and got 179 results. Searching for ace 250, ace, or 250 produced nothing. Strange???

The one thing Ive seen as a common link is to back the sens DOWN initially. Also, there seems to be some pinpoint problems with the first units shipped - if you have one of those, Garrett will fix the problem and make it all better. call them if you believe this applies to you. Ask for Mary.
