FOR THE USERS OF KEYPAD ELECTRONICS, BE CAREFUL NOT TO USE YOUR FINGERNAILS OR OTHER SHARP TOOLS TO PUSH THE KEYPADS. THEY COULD CREASE OR DENT THEN CAUSE MALFUNCTIONS, SUCH AS TURNING ON IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT!!! USE THE PADS OF INDEX FINGER.
 
Hope you didn't learn that one the hard way.

A few years ago, one of my nephews used a butter knife to press the ice/water dispensor keypad button on our then new refridgerator. It actually broke thru the little dome. It still works, but doesn't look very good.

Keep the fingernails trimmed.
