New Tesoro to Replace Cortes

DannyOcean

New member
Is there a new Tesoro being developed to replace the Cortes? I noticed some dealers prices are about $170.00 less than the posted price on the Tesoro website. A Tesoro will be my next pruchase to add to my arsenal. I have just bought a Garrett GTI 2500 and I am going to purchase a Tesoro next. I am trying to purchase all the top of the line detectors to give myself a greater advantage in the FIND's department.

Thanks for your help & advice.

Happy Hunting,

the Giffords are holding it close to the vest. No real word yet on what it will be other than TID. I imagine it will be awesome! I will be getting one after it's been on the market for a few months.

The Cortes is a great machine and, if it is still there, there is one on ebay for 485 shipped, including the stock coil and a 5.75 coil.

I don't know the seller.

Ah gee-whizz, I have a Cortes on the way with 5.75 coil in addition to the stock. Oh well - if they replace the Cortes with a worthwhile upgrade - guess I'll have to do this all over again.

It would be nice if the circuitry on the new machine would handle the wet sand at saltwater beaches.

Perhaps they could have a salt switch like the Tiger Shark has.
