I have a question: I have one of the first T2's off the line. It has
the bottle cap revision and I have the small sniper coil and the
standard 11-inch open-smoke... I was never able to find a nugget
while using the 11-inch, but was able to find small pickers working
dry washer tailing (reject) piles by raking them out---

I should mention my rake is a metal garden rack and I had placed
super-magnets along the crossbar and thus, all of the tines were
magnetic and grabbed all of the small magnetic bits of iron---

Thus I was able to recover small gold bits that were even missed by
others detecting the riffle tray tailing's before me. (My thought were and
still are), the particles of iron override and mask the sharper "ZIT"
sounds that signify gold rather then the less sharp/more rounded
"ZIPS" that seem to signify iron...

I would like to go out and detect other areas with my T2 as it has a
great phase reading and bar-graph scale and I can still swing it while
hanging on to my cane or walker.

My question is can it modded/upgraded with the newer software
versions of my basic original T2?

I know finding small bits of gold will never pay for the gas or and mod,
but getting out and occasionally finding a sub-grain (or larger!) nugget
is FUN...

i don't think they are offering any type of upgrades, but you can always call and talk to Dave J. They might just make an exception. Never hurts to try.

Like MH said. I just picked up a v6 Omega and its hitting stuff I missed with the v4 I had used (and several other fine units). Worst case trade and upgrade!
