New style or Older Style

New member
I just got a used clean sweep coil, and was hopeing that someone that has a new style would look at the part no. on there coil and see if it matches mine(B9277:geek: They say that the older coil weighs 1.8 lbs and that the new style weighs 1.4 lbs, I don't have any way to weigh something that light. I know that it doesn't make any diff if it is the new or old style I would just like to know.
Thanks Greg

Wirechief,
Thanks a bunch, I think that tells me that I have the older model, it realy didn't matter much, but know I know. I havn't had a chance to use mine yet, have you used yours, if so, do you like it, and how deep do you think it will go?
Thanks Greg

Hi Greg, I installed mine on the Silver uMax and have not put in much time on it yet. I will need to learn to pinpoint with it first but I can't tell you how deep it will actually go, too many variables to try and guess at depth of this coil. I was told by my distributor that it is not a deep seeking coil, mostly used to cover a lot of real estate quickly. Coil technology is extremely interesting stuff. I will try to give you a report down the road after I get some time on it. I hope yours will work well for you and best of luck with it. CU later Greg and let us know how you like your Clean Sweep. God Bless.

Wirechief,
Thanks for the reply, hope fully I will get to use it this weekend, and I will let you know how it does, I also was told that the depth is not great but would cover alot of ground, and that is why I got it, I am searching a 1900's amusement park that there is little known about, other than it did exist.
Thanks again
Greg

Alright Greg ! I wish you good hunting at the amusement park location. I have been going just down the street to a house that is about 50 years old and I have found close to 10.00 in coins around the back porch and in the front yard. I've only dug 4 Wheaties no silver yet. The rest has been clad except for a 1971 New Zealand copper piece. I've been using the Tesoro Tejon mostly and sometimes a Golden, Vaquero, Fisher ID Edge, Coinstrike. I don't think I'm even close to finishing ! I really hope you get good results with the Clean Sweep. I will be chatting to you later Greg. God Bless.
