New Sovereign model coming out ?

Minelab came out with an updated Explorer (Etrac) and an updated Quatro (Safari) whos updates included faster processors, better separating coils, etc.

It would seem logical that a new and improved Sovereign with at least a faster processor and a coil similar to the highly effective SE Pro/Etrac coil should be the next release candidate

The Explorers seemed to get a little faster each time they came out with a new model whereas the Sovs seemed to have stayed the same minus the control housing/battery updates and of course with the GT all the toggles/options of earlier sovs.

If its a good seller I think your right we might be in for a new revised model.

If a new Sovereign was in the woirks, one of the most important things tthey could put in it would be FBS to replace the old BBS. That would be s major step forward. Better balance wouldn't be the worst thing that could happen either.

If they make if FBS they might as well just discontinue it. THere are already plenty of FBS MOdels to choose from. The BBS is much smoother running on the beach than FBS. That's why so many beach hunters use a Sov instead of an FBS Machine. Also Minelab has also recently come out with a Xterra...the Xterra 705. THe only amchine they still haven't upgraded is the Sov. Hopefully it will be next and they will give us the thin 11" coil that they used on the E-Trac. That would be a perfect beach and water hunting coil! JMHO
