New site, near a spring

I had talked to the land owner of a early 1700's home that had a spring on it, used by the indians prior to the settlers and got permissions to hunt. He said a bunch of guys were there before and not much should be left. I asked if any of his property had not been detected and he mentioned the back 5 acres near the spring beside the old orchard, so off i went. As i detected on my way through what i thought was the old orchard (, i was picking up few of old musket balls, and colonial buttons, a horse tie. [attachment 198774 100_0082.JPG]

Then i got a hit 14-45 hit, good sound and i dug at 7 inches out popped another early coin, 1727. [attachment 198776 1727britaniafront.JPG][attachment 198775 1727britania.JPG]

Love those coppers. When i made it to the path to the spring, it was underwater, darn rain. Hopefully i will be able to get to the old spring. Well, there's always next time.

I end up giving the land owner some of the buttons and musket balls.

Thanks for looking.

Wow! I always love to see what you easterners pull out as far as old coinage. Congratulations! I'm glad the opportunity to hunt "sprung" (pun intended) up! Thanks for the pictures.
