New search site

I have been researching possible search sites using online public records to track down the owners. Doing this I was able to gain permission today from a local property investment firm to search two empty lots. I was a little nervous because they have no phone listing and I wondered about the legitamacy of a company that was'nt in the phone book or could be found by the operator even cross checking the address. But they actually had a real office and were totally cool and laid back about the idea and said to "knock myself out" and "thanks for asking". Wow, my first actual private property permission grant! If only it was always this easy. As soon as I got home I took the Vaquero down and got started. It is in my neighborhood so I could walk there in just a few minutes. Both lots are side by side and extremely trashy. More signals than you can wave a detector at. So far nothing but trash dug up, but I was only able to get in about an our before it started raining. Still lots more to dig so here's hoping something good comes out of it.

WTG on getting permission.
