new se user and very happy with it

Just got my se last Sunday.....I had used a fisher cz5 for about 10 years........My finds had dropped off to nearly nothing the last couple of years.....After about 12 hours of use I can say that the minelab is a FANTASTIC MACHINE...I have gotten a 1944 quarter,1946 dime,2 silver rings ,2 indians 1892,1898 and a 1938 buffalo nickel along with a few wheat pennies....The 1944 quarter was 8" inch deep....All of these coins came from places that I had detected to death....Detects is a good 2"-4" deeper than my cz5.....Hope to get some pictures and I will post...I almost got the f75 instead of the se ...Sure glad I didn't.....................................................Jim

congrats on the new machine...we kinda like them minelabs as well.and you will get some good advise on settings and such from all the good folks here as well

I think you made a good choice, mine did the same for me. Hang around awhile, like ML Locust said, you will learn a lot of stuff here. I took some advice from Mr. Locust and BlackX and bought the Sunray Probe for mine and absolutely love that thing!!
