New SE Pro

Hey Guys, I`m new to the forum and have so enjoyed reading all the informative posts. I have new Se Pro coming in this week and I know that the learning curve is going to be daunting. That being said, The info I`ve gleaned here is, I think, going to shorten that curve. I know I will have many questions to ask after I begin hunting with it this weekend, but I promise to try and find any questions I have if already posted. Wish we had the forums in the 80`s when i was active with my old Garret. maybe I would have kept at it. I`ve had the old Garret out recently and just things I have read here have made using the machine more fruitful. I have a feeling that the Se is going to give me permanent case of detecting fever. HH to all

Welcome to the forum bbqman. You will learn to like the Explorer. I'm in the learning curve now with mine. So far really doing pretty good, better than I thought I would. Keep it in the factory preset program till you get used to it. Thats what I'm doing and it's working great. Already made some great finds that i'm sure i would not have found with my other detectors. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress. HH, Joe.

Thanks, Joe. I`m no novice, but will be with the SE. I hope I do as well as you early on. I can`t wait to hit some honey holes that I know have deep and older coins unreachable in the past !
