New Scoop To Go With The Sand Shark

Bill G

Member
New two piece scoop that I modified with a quick disconnect pin so I don't have to pull a screw out with a screwdriver to break it down for a more compact travel . This will go right along with the Sand Shark just fine. Off to the beach soon to give everything a work out.:detecting:

Bill: I have a scoop about like yours that I purchased from a friend. Has the SS tip and a added finer screen plus a magnet. I like the handle on yours and I'm interested in where I might purchase one.
Thanks

Percy,

I got it at MetalDetectors.com it is the two piece travel scoop. The basket is 5" in dia and 9" long the handle is 40" long not including the basket, add the basket and it is around 46" to 47" tall ( if I remember right it advertised as 47") The two pieces screw together with a heavy screws and a smaller diameter internal piece. I drilled the screw hole out on the top piece and installed the hitch clevis. This made it much easier to take apart while maintaining the strength needed. I then added the get a grip (got it on Amazon) and then I wrapped the other parts you see that are black with bicycle grip handle bar cork ribbon tape and added magnets to the scoop. I have also seen these at other vendors. They also make a 6" dia basket version of this scoop but it cost a few dollars more. The scoop ran $129.00 and I think it's made buy RTG.

Happy Hunting,
Bill G
