New QXT, dang have to learn a new detector

Just got a QXT off craigslist with a Whites pinpointer, digging tools and a sand scoop for $275.00. Now comes the hard part for a old fart, learning a new detector. Seems to be a good following for these units on this site, so if anyone wants to enlighten me feel free. Don
