New Quattro owner

I've been looking for something to go over the sites I've "worked out" with my White's MXT, so I finally broke down and bought a Quattro. It's not here yet, and I'm sure it will be an entirely different experience!!

I've been using the MXT mostly and using a Tesoro LoboST as my "heavy artillery" for extra depth. I've found lots of really good stuff with this combo but I think I've reached the fringes of the MXT's ability, and the Lobo, though super deep, is really too sensitive for the trashy sites I usually hunt. Sooooooo......wish me luck!

Because I almost never use it, I'm considering selling the LoboST or trading it for a couple coils...or whatever, but the MXT has become an extension of my arm so it will make a good backup to the Quattro.

We'll see how it works out, huh.

Hello Marc and welcome! Yep, I know what you mean about a detector that's done you justice. You just don't part with it. I fel like that with my old Whites Goldmaster. It's found many gold nuggets, but especially the lovely old 9ct gold ring I always wear, never take off. It's very special to me, because the ring was found detecting a very old goldmining town, in the most unlikely place, near the adit of a mine, in the rut of a very old dirt road! Who'd have figured!
Keep us posted. Lot's of good advice and tips here on this forum, for the Quattro. Everyone's very helpful too.

Welcome aboard the "Quatro mobile", Marc, and by the way my name is Marc too, spelled with a c on the end, so I guess we better start a Marc with a c club. :| (just trying to be cute here). It's great to have you aboard and I think you'll love your Quatro. I love mine but would love to a a backup detector or two, just in case. I think they're very durable, but no mater what you have, it "could" go bad and it'd always be nice to have a backup in my opinion. In your case, the MXT doesn't sound like anything to sneeze at and could be a great companion detector. Well, let us know how it goes for you. I'm always curious what new Quatro owners think of their new unit.:|
