Wife fell in love with a puppy at a friend's house, and guess what, yep, it came home with her
. Its mama was an Australian Shepard and his daddy was a deep red Golden Retriever. He is all black except for the shield on his chest. My wife named him Jake. We have not had a puppy in this house in 25 years, and I seem to have forgotten the joys of getting a baby dog
We needed new carpeting anyways and I just got through replacing it all with newspaper (why can't he hit the paper?) He is only about 7 weeks old now, so I guess I can forgive him. We thought we were going to have problems, because we have a 15 year old male Lhasa Apso in the house also. The first thing the puppy did was, is to crawl in bed with the other dog (he misses his mama) well the other dog ( Charley) was having none of that and.................. got up and let the pup have his bed
They share the bed now, whoever gets there first gets it! He weighs in at 5 lbs. and will get up to 65 lbs. Leash training in progress, when he gets tired of walking, he just plops down and rolls over, I WILL NOT pick him up! He just rests, then a tug of the leash and he moves again. He can be stubborn at times. Oh I forgot, He is a Taurus, he was born May 5th. 2013, my wife is also a Taurus May 10th. 195* Stubborn is, as stubborn does. Today we are going for a long (short) walk in the park. He may be a blessing in disguise for me, as I am diabetic and don't get enough exercise, maybe I will get my sugar under control once again.
