I have a GTI1500 with the original 9.5 search coil. Is there enough advantage to the new 9.5 PROformance to justify changing to it?
 
It's a great improvement over the old one.

Thanks Uncle Willy, John-Edmonton and garretguy for your responses. Now one more question. If faced with either upgrading your GTI1500 with the new PROformance search coil, or buying an ACE 250 "yeller feller", which I have read so much about, which would it be?
