New products coming soon for atpro/atgold

Was at my local Garrett dealer today and picked up my new ATPro. I asked about the control box covers, saying that Kellyco sold one for the gti1500 that fit it. He told me that covers for the ATPro and ATGold are coming out soon and he also expects to get in the 5x8 coils too soon. Already marked me down for one when they come in.

Can't wait to try out my ATPro soon, tomorrow it's gonna rain cats and dogs here in Vancouver, so I don't know if I'll brave being wet and cold just to try it. ;)

Thanks for the update with the box covers. You need a water proof machine hunting in Vancouver:devil: Have you hunted Stanley Park?

Not yet, but I have gotten permission to go! :)

And its party sunny today, only 8C...I'm gonna hop down to a park 2 blocks away. Its not a old park, built in 2009; but people like to sit on the grass, etc. And the site had older houses at one time on it. The junk is still under the grass, it drove my infinium crazy, but with the ATPro I should be able to pick out the good signals in pro mode. Wish me luck! ;)

Thats Wreck Beach, theres another nudist beach to the SW along the coast of Crescent Beach as well. Wreck beach is on GVRD parkland, I've heard detectorists go there, but legally....they can't without a special permit, which btw I've applied for.
Covering my bases so I stay out of trouble.

Just got back from the park 2 blocks away, very very trashy. I worked around the trees and along the grass slopes where people sit, picnic and chat. I came away with this for 2hrs on 1st run.

1 dime, 2 nickles, 14 pennies and 1 of them was American. Strange thing is, this park was built in 2009. Yet the oldest coins I found was a 1974 penny and a 1979 nickle. HAD to be from the house lots that used to be here from before the park was built. I got a few signals in the 90+ range, but they were down about 8"+ on the pinpointer scale. I remember their location and when I get a PROPER tool for digging good plugs I'm gonna see what they are. I hope its silver coins, cause the oldest house around this area was over 80 years old.

Good finds and good luck on your outings.
I stand corrected , was at that beach before
I got into detecting.
Tool of choice in those days was a camera:laugh:

Do you find lots of foreign coins? Seems like you might at a major port city such as Vancouver. Would be loads of fun.
