New point & shoot Camera

Hi Kelly and all the rest reading this . Well I did the big mistake the other day I had my Kodiak 850 camera sitting on the side of a table in its dock and I parked my walker I need to get around with beside it and when I went to use my walker I caught the camera strap on my walker side and jerked it off onto the floor .I picked it up and everything looked ok but a few days later I went to use it and it won't power up now , checked the battery it is charging ok and up so now I have to find a repair place to repair my mistake . There don't seem to be very many repair places even here around Kansas City but there is a few . In the mean time I bought me a new point & shoot to use in the mean time . It seems to be a very good camera works and takes good video and still pictures for such a small camera ( about the size of a pack of cigerettes).. Sure do miss my 850 tho ... Heres the point & shoot I bought was on sale on Amason and the one I bought was a refurbished one .

Canon PowerShot ELPH 130 IS 16.0 MP Digital Camera with 8x Optical Zoom 28mm Wide-Angle Lens and 720p HD Video Recording (Gray)

with your new camera. These compact digital cameras are capable of producing some colorful, sharp, interesting pictures if used properly. You did good. Kelley (Texas) :)

I have heard good things about the P&S Canon's that have been coming out over the last few yrs. They are easy to carry around even in a pocket, and capture some great photos. They also now have much better Megapixels and zoom than they did a few yrs ago. Oh, and the price is a lot cheaper for a good one! :) You can get a good P&S for about $100 nowadays that will do fine capturing images of everyday life IMHO. HH

Your right roscue2 this one seems to be good for general use . Heres this mornings general use I am a bachalor ...lol

Heres a couple sunset pictures I took out the window of my apartment this evening with the new pocket camera .. I know the tree was in the way but it was to cold to wonder outside so just shot through it . :bouncy:
