new point pointer

So the new deus pin pointer will let you see on the deus hand control screen what the VDI number is? I would think in iron nails mixed in a hole you just dug it may help you find the relic your trying to recover? Would be interesting to see how that works?

No it has a target zoom display

There seems to be some confusion about the new pointer Gary. So it gives a visual display similar to the Deus pinpont screen. Tone varialbilty but no vdi or tones that correspond to a vdi?

Thanks,
John K

It would be nice to put it in a hole and tell an iron VDI from a relic VDI

When you activate the pinpointer in the Deus mode, the coil that had been active is placed in stand-by and the pinpointer is now the coil.

You can make adjustments to the pinpointer using the control unit and the new V4.0 menu but the display does NOT show VDI numbers as it would when the coil is active. What you will see is a display similar to that when you enter the Pinpoint mode and you get the box graphic that gets darker as you get closer to the target.

Hope this answers your question

It also does not give the same tones you hear from the main coil , like a Sun-Ray,,,,is that correct?

That's the question!---and from what I've seen--we haven't gotten a direct answer to that question.-------Andy, I believe you said to think of this new Deus pinpointer (when paired to the Deus) to be like a Sunray in-line probe (or words similar to that).------So-----What isn't clear to us------does this pinpointer give "tone I.D." (from the Deus headphones)?-----When the Sunray probe is activated (switched on)---you get tone I.D. through your headphones (the same as the detector gives).-----When using this new pinpointer & it is "paired" to the Deus---Are we going to be able to tell (by tone through the h.p.'s) the difference of certain U.S. coins---say the difference between a nickel & Zinc penny---or the difference of a Zinc penny & clad (or silver) dime (for instance).------I guess another way to phrase the question----is it going to be able to do everything the Sunray in-line probe does---yes or no???------If it does & being wireless--it's going to be a great addition.----------Del

Thanks ,

The main advantage is to speed up finding the target and not have competing noise from the headphones. Would have liked a VDI but I think it will be a useful tool.

this video is in french but it show a demo of the pointer. sounds like the same sound it uses now on the pin pointer.unless it has other features.

It may take a bite out of your power on the deus. And it doesn't seem like a big advancement. I like the holder. Does it have more depth than what is out here. Not a game changer just away to eat my money. The new changes make the deus a full package dealers can sell more. So they did create a machine that can relic hunt and gold hunt if you take two coils. You would think with the release of the new improvemts they would do a video in English explaining a and giving a demo what the changes do. They are still testing and found a bug. Why not do this when they had a green lite
