New place tonight

Three br ranch house probably from around 1960. It is next door to a Catholic run nursing home and they own the house as a place for the Nuns to stay when they are in town. they call it the convent. Only dug three keepers ( but not a lot of pull tabs). One was a 1951 wheat, a 1960 quarter and a REALLy gaudy bracelet that is very un-nun like so I'm guessing it's from a previous resident. It's in several pieces and appears to be all there with the exception of two large stones (okay, so they're plastic, but what else are you gonna call them?). But it was fun to find..pieces of it just kept coming out of that hole. I'll get pictures later cause right now it's soakin in soapy water. I'm realy pleased with my quarter...It's been a long time since I found silver. I only checked about 1/10 of the lawn, so I'll be back tomorrow for sure.

:usaflag:To find a silver quarter in that place really is a miracle....those old hens never have any money

Congrats on the silver !!!

You're right McDave...I've met some of them. That's why I gotta believe that it is from a previous resident. I have to keep reminding myself of the fact that "how it appears now is not how it always was". Some family lived there at some time and one of them lost a silver quarter....and the gaudy bracelet which you can see as soon as it is cleaned up a bit. Believe me - no Nun ever wore that either.

It will pay you to hunt the same place again

Congrats on the silver MrGee! and good luck when you hunt the rest of the site You got me kinda curious to see the bracelet:)

Went over there again last night. checked about half of the front yard and found...........nothing. Some nails and pull tabs (pull tabs? at the convent?). oh well, you never know. Anyhow, the rest of the yard is pretty barren. Found out that the lady who used to live in the house lives next door at the nursing home now. considered taking the bracelet over and talking to her but they tell me that she's very difficult to deal with so I'm still thinking about that. Should be posting pics this afternoon.
