Well, i finally got the money to get my first water detector ***arrrr*** I should be receiving it either saturday or monday. I live in michigan and will be in the water lookin for fresh and old drops alike. I hope to bring u guys pics of stuff i find.

Any beachhunter i.d. advice will be appreciated from anyone. I'm all ears.....or well.......eyes in this case lol. Won't be no ocean hunting for me though, so i guess i don't need ocean beach advice. But yah any advice is appreciated for the bhid. Thanks -Matt

...that you hunt in the all metal mode for the really deep stuff (especially in the water). Otherwise, stick with the presets and crank up the sensitivity as much as possible. Good Luck!

Hey dfxmatt, the official guru for the Beach Hunter ID is Beach Hunter himself. No one is as familiar with the unit as him, that I know of. As far as I can see the unit works well for him too, so ask Beach Hunter. GH

it in all METAL hang controll box around neck or chest mount it...use the LIGHTS to ID the target....any bit of RED don't dig!!! even if other lights blink too any RED its IRON/STEEL!!! In this mode youll get best depth and good hits on small gold and chains...and stud earings will make you nuts falling through scoop!!! good luck!

I can't believe how much stuff I've found in the short time since using it (will post pics soon)! The BHID is sssoooo sensitive to small targets and gets great depth to boot...................I can't say enough how much I like this machine. Everytime I go out to the Beach it amazes me more and more as I learn about it. I guess if you put the time in to really learn what the detector is telling you, you're going to find a lot of cool things with it! HH
