Now just waiting on some good weather and a day off. to test this baby out. thanks Brian for such a deal glad you were overstocked on this. any tips from you seadogs would be most welcome.
 
Congrats on your new machine txglennr...

Its a good detector for sure, its my favorite detector and if you use it enough you will do well and even though it only has 1 tone you can tell if you're over a bobby pin by the tone its usually a broken scratchy signal nails also sound broken. When you come across big iron it has a drawn out (wow) type sound. Don't use a PI in the dry sand it will drive you crazy digging all that trash up there. I use a VLF detector for dry and wet sand and save the PI for the water. The beaches I detect don't have much trash in the water so I rarely find any iron from hip to chest deep.

The PI PR0 is balanced and light weight and easy to swing and you can use it right out of the box :)
