New Pics last 2 months finds

Finally got a computer up and running, figured I would show some better pictures of my last couple months finds.

First picture is of the 14k diamond ring that I found at my honeyhole, 3rd gold ring from there in 3 months.

Second is a picture of all of the lead that I've pulled from the honeyhole this year, at least 90% of them came from there anyway.

Third is a picture of the better coins that I've found in the last couple months, and the fourth is the reverse of the coins.

Fifth is my second eagle button, pretty rough shape almost smashed flat, but I still love it.

More pics in reply post.

Last picture is of the broach that I recently found, I might have over cleaned it a bit, but I think it's pretty sweet just the same, anyone have any idea's how old it might be? Probably hard to say for sure, it was really crusted up when I pulled it from the ground, took quite a bit of work to get it clean.

The ground here is really suckin lately, dry and starting to get pretty hard, we need a good heavy rain. Picked up a '56 and a '13 wheatie last time out. I've been getting my silver fix from pocket change lately, got a '63 rosie yesterday, and a 43 p war nickel today :) Can't complain about that.

have you id'ed all the 3 ringers and small bullets? there are some great sites on net for id. you have some that look a little different, might have a rare one! well, anyone i manage to find is rare

Congratulations on the great finds. Just goes to prove that Bounty Hunters are indeed very capable machines!

Yeah, I know what every bullet I have is, unless it's fired or smashed to the point of being unrecognizable. The three to the bottom right without rings are Starr Cabine bullets, but they are a variant that is a little larger diameter than most and they have a really small conical cavity, they might be rare, a book identifies them, but I don't know how rare they are, haven't heard of anyone else finding them, and I can't find any pictures by anyone else that has found them, or a price for them, and I've checked a lot of the ID sites and sales sites. All of the rest of them are fairly common, .69, .58, and .54 cal three ringers; .69, .54, and .36 cal round balls; .44 cal colt army revolver rounds (my fav.); a few .54 merrill carbines; one fired .36 cal teardrop (would love to find a dropped one), a few .36 cal pistol bullets, some carved lead, camp lead, and a few chewed pain bullets.

Will probably be a while before I go back to the honeyhole, my friends and I have cleaned it out pretty well, skunked the last few times I went there. I'm sure there are some really cool things to be found there still, but I've shifted back to coin shooting for a while.

Best of luck to you finding some bullets, it's always a thrill when you grab a clump of dirt and it feels really heavy, almost as nice as seeing a silver rim in the hole. HH!!

Thanks abcoin! I used to dream about buying a really sweet machine (etrac) still do, but not as much anymore. I've realized that finding the good stuff isn't as much the price of the machine as it is knowing your machine really well. Everyone thinks, "oh, if I just had 'this' machine I would find so much more" when in all actuallity, all it takes is putting some serious time in with the machine that you have and learning what it is telling you....and dig dig dig. Now don't get me wrong, if someone knows their high-end machine, etrac, etc. as well as I know my machine, they have the potential to find a whole lot more, but a lot of the good stuff isn't super deep anyway. I will hunt with other guys with etracs and mxt's and will still regularly out-hunt them, cause I know my machine so well. I'm to the point where I'm getting reluctant to upgrade to a different machine, cause I love mine so much, but when I do find the right machine I will probably pull the trigger for a few extra inches of depth, the only thing my machine lacks, imo.

Even the cheapest of the Bounty Hunters can get the job done, mine only about $100.
