New photos of gold ring #7 and coin from past week.

Nice looking ring BH... I hope to get in the water soon.. I'm still nursing a sore shoulder from digging deep :)

I WAS TOLD!? I'LL HAVE TO SHOW YOU WHEN I SEE YA. I'M JUST GETTING USE TO MY NEW DIG. CAM. I'LL TRY TO POST A CLOSE UP FOR YA.THAT GUY JAMES GOT A 1/2 OR A 1 REALE DOWN THE CAPE TODAY. I HUNTED HAMPTON IT WAS POOR AND COLD!!

Hard to tell from the pic - circle in the middle makes it look like a coin button. If so, it's probably a reale design in brass with a tin or silver wash.

Not going to England this time, but hopeful to go again within a year. Mike G is going with Bruce and Linda again - they should come back with buckets full this time!

Awesome Ring!

It apparently is a 1782 1/2 reale I found Saturday if the information online I found is correct... it is about the size of a dime and has an "R" and an "M" for the Mexico mint (I got skunked when I went back there today though).
It is my first piece of spanish silver and I was psyched when I dug it. I will try to post a photo either tomorrow or Tuesday.

Have to hit that lake this summer when the weather warms up. When I was a kid I saw a detectorist pull a Large Cent out of it and that is what keyed me on to this spot when I picked up the hobby two years ago.
