New Personal Best in Silver for one day :detecting:

I took Jim (time4me) and Mark (beachbumm) to a new spot this morning, and it turned out to be a great spot for every one :beers:

Everyone was finding silver at this spot, but it started to dry up and it started to get hot (hot already in March  ). Jim could only stay for a few hours, but still managed to snag 5 silvers before he left. After Jim left we moved to a much more challenging spot, but will return to silver hill some shady morning with small coils to weave through the sea of trash

I ended up with 5 mercs, 1 silver Roosevelt, 1 silver Washington and 1 silver ring. Also some misc - a 5 ORE Norwegian coin from 1930 (big sucker too), a junker ring, a little box (no goodies inside  ), and an old lipstick thingy.

I lost count of how many silvers Mark scored, but he scored the best one of the day with a beautiful Walker half :super:

Here's the loot from today:

These five are from my last couple of previous hunts:

Had a great day, and enjoyed hunting in this beautiful weather with Jim and Mark

Thanks for looking and HH,
Brian

Great day, WTG. I would be back there ASAP. I found a 1 ore (1875) a couple years ago. It was smaller than a dime and black. How big is the 5 ore?

Thanks Dave. This is a place I researched, and so far it's produced a LOT of silver, but we haven't been able to break into the 1800's stuff. I know there has to be some, it's just matter of finding the right spot I hope.

Hi Dan,

I wasn't running it too hot. IIRC I had it set at 80 sens, switched between 0 & 7 disc (this place was pull-tab/bottle-cap city, so was trying to see if zero disc would help unmask some silver, but it didn't, just made for an ultra noisy ride), 3H tones, GB ~ 65, and fe304 was ~ .1.

Most of the targets were 6" or less here, so no need to run it in sizzle mode, although I did recover one pesky pull-tab at a measured 8" deep (it sounded pretty good though :ranting:).

HH,
Brian

Thanks for sharing......good luck hunting.......Dan

Great mess of silver Brian. It is nice to have a day like that once in a while. You are right about those deep tabs. They sound and read pretty darn good. HH jim tn
